We have visited the Nagano prefecture, but not had the pleasure of staying in Matsumoto, nor at this delightful little hotel.

We have travelled to Japan twice and absolutely love it! It doesn't hurt that they have the most powdery snow in the world (important to keen snowboarders) possibly the best food and need I mention the beer! (Asahi & Kirin!)
